In 1998, I was then asked to take part in a 100% Challenge match for Channel 5 where the nine contestants were all winners of various quizzes such as Mastermind, 15-to-1 etc and in my case, Brain of Britain. Unfortunately I had Gavin Fuller, the youngest ever winner of Mastermind in my heat and he beat me. But as a result of the programme, I was asked to take part in 100% Gold later on that year.
